Impermanence and change define our life, yet we often meet each new experience of these with resistance, fear, anger, and clinging. The Dharma helps us loosen our grip, and find balance within uncertainty. As we rest with the ebb and flow of each present moment, we naturally relax. Lama Pat will lead participants in meditations that support awareness and the direct experience of our innately pure and open nature, which will help us meet the challenges in our life, including our own mortality, with equanimity and ease.

Lama Pat Berube, RN, MA, is a teacher and the Director of Clear Light Institute in Fairfax, CA, a program supporting contemplative approaches to dealing with illness, death, and dying. She holds a Masters’ degree in counseling and nearly 40 years’ experience as a RN. This past Nov., under the authority of Kalu Rinpoche, Sukhasiddhi’s Lama Palden and Lama Drupgyu authorized her as a Lama.

‘Instructions for the Transitional State’ may be purchased onsite ($12), or from www.vimalatreasures.org.

TLC’s 2018 events include a monthly film series (Jan. 7, Feb. 4, March 4, April 8, May 20, June 17, July 8, Aug. 5, Sept. 2, Oct. 7, Nov. 4 & Dec. 2) & our educational program at Orgyen Dorje Den in Alameda. Our next event will be in March.
